THE SPLENDOUR PROJECT
Deacon Sherman is the Convenor of a community of friends who call themselves the Splendour Community, while the work that this community does in our contribution to the mission of the Church is called the Splendour Project.
The Splendour Project is a collaborative effort between various individuals who have sought to proactively respond to the call of the Holy Catholic Church for a New Evangelisation through the proclamation of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. On our own initiative, we came together in 2012 and strung together a series of apostolate activities in order to create a synergy in the transmission of the Holy Gospel as proclaimed by the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. |
Our mission is best encapsulated by the acronym FED, which stands for Formation, Evangelisation, and Discipleship. It is our commitment to reach out to the lay faithful by helping them to better understand and appreciate the teachings of the Holy Catholic Church. Our dedication to constant improvement is relentless, and we put ourselves through a constant rigorous vetting process, enhancing and streamlining our competence so that we may never tire in spreading the Joy of the Gospel.
Since then, this series of collaborative efforts has been recognised by thousands of Catholic faithful - clergy, religious and laity - and many more have come to identify themselves as being a part of this Splendour Project in varied ways.
Deacon Sherman Kuek, together with the Splendour Community, continue to travel around the region and beyond on a regular basis to catechise the faithful of the Church and to preach the Word. This is done through live conferences and events, through production, publication and distribution of formation materials and media, and also through formation-based pilgrimages organised to various sacred sites around the world.
